A new spot from the owners of Lou Lou and Mur Mur in the part of Mokotów that is rapidly filling up with luxury residential developments.

The main feeling Cou Cou is trying to create is comfort. A polished interior, an approachable yet interesting menu spanning breakfasts and dinners, and an effortlessly social atmosphere – that’s the formula its creators have bet on.

Ato Ramen, Wronia 10

The cult Łódź ramen shop has finally arrived in Warsaw after opening a branch in Wrocław. To say the place has generated buzz would be an understatement – queues have been forming outside Ato literally since day one.

The menu follows the formula that made the Off Piotrkowska original famous: 12 ramen variations, four different broths, clearly specified tare and noodle styles, plus a handful of starters, desserts, and nine cocktails.

Ballaro, Śniadeckich 18

This contemporary urban neo-bistro feels very much like chef Giacomo Carreca’s dream project. Vibrant and highly emotional cooking, a polished interior packed with thoughtful details, and a thoroughly modern wine list all come together beautifully.

Among the dishes are oysters with mint granita and loquat, cuttlefish crudo with guanciale, horse tartare with mussels and verbena, and utterly outrageous Iberico pork skewers.

Kalbas, Hoża 62

One of the more unusual openings of recent months: a Caribbean restaurant that doesn’t really resemble anything else in Warsaw.

Packed with authentic ingredients, full of Creole influences, and led by a Haitian chef and co-owner acting as a guide to Caribbean food culture, the concept sounds intriguing to say the least. Located in a semi-basement space, the restaurant feels refreshingly detached from trends: straightforward presentation, generous portions, and flavors dialed all the way up.

Tables, Ząbkowska 7

A highly atmospheric spot in Warsaw’s Praga district that brings together just about everything a self-respecting foodie could need under one roof.

Breakfast until 3 p.m., a dedicated lunch menu, evening dishes designed to pair with natural wines, a solid mocktail selection, a polished interior, and a terrace overlooking the historic section of Ząbkowska Street – that’s Tables in a nutshell.

Papa Lee, Marszałkowska 87

A new bistro in the very center of the city serving authentic Taiwanese cuisine: xiaolongbao, wontons, noodles, desserts, bubble tea, and more.

The space itself looks fairly minimalist. Whether there is any connection to the well-known Bali spot Papa Lee’s Taiwan Noodle & Dumplings (which, incidentally, has an almost identical logo) remains unclear.

Baba Jaga, Wronia 10

A new project from the owners of Nicoletta, Medusa, and BangBang.

The focus here is modern Polish cuisine: chilled beet soup with horseradish and pickled egg, schabowy with parmesan foam, young cabbage with lightly smoked sour cream, and similar dishes.

The interior deserves a separate mention: concrete columns, metal, decorative plasterwork, hand-painted frescoes, gradient artworks, plenty of air and space, white tablecloths, and abundant greenery.

Camino de La Crema, Chmielna 10

A single-product pastry shop dedicated exclusively to Basque cheesecakes – the kind with a creamy center and deeply caramelized crust.

Current flavors include the classic version, chocolate, and tiramisu, with sauces available as well. Prices start at 14.90 PLN per slice.

Harvest, Dobra 42

A new Polish restaurant in Elektrownia Powiśle built around seasonality, local sourcing, and the concept of a shared table.

The menu includes breakfasts (leniwe or brioche toasts, for example), house-made pastries, cocktails, wines, and dishes ranging from tartares and schabowy to goose pierogi and beyond.
