Lukullus Reopens Its Saska Kępa Patisserie with a New Look
After celebrating its 80th anniversary in style, Lukullus has reopened its Saska Kępa location at 29 Walecznych Street following a complete redesign. Inspired by Agnieszka Osiecka's song Zielono Mi, the new interior introduces a noticeably greener palette alongside a carefully curated collection of contemporary art.
The space features a series of artworks seamlessly integrated into the interior, including Wiktoria & Filip Bielicki's metal still life wrapping around the dessert display, sculptural lamps by Marcin Rusak, almost weightless wall reliefs by Sonia Dubois, and an interior designed by Zofia Wyganowska and Weronika Wilkowska. Together, they give the historic pastry shop an entirely new visual identity.

A special mention also goes to Lukullus owners Albert Judycki and Jacek Malarski, who were involved in every stage of the preparations before reopening — right down to carrying and assembling vintage Czechoslovak chairs themselves. It's always nice to see owners so personally invested in every detail of a project.
The Saska Kępa branch is expected to remain unique within the Lukullus network, with no plans to roll out the same design across the company's other locations. That said, after the brand's creatively ambitious 80th anniversary celebrations — from a contemporary theatre performance in Łazienki Królewskie to the creation of its own rose variety — it seems safe to expect more surprises from Albert and Jacek.
