Farfatella Opens on Wołoska

Farfatella, a new Italian bistro from the owners of CouCou, MurMur and LouLou, opened in Warsaw on 11 September. 

Located at Wołoska 3, literally opposite CouCou in the same new residential development, the new project runs from breakfast through dinner, with freshly baked pastry, pizza and house-made pasta.

The concept is built around Italian cooking in a contemporary format, with familiar dishes alongside the team's own takes on classic combinations. The morning menu includes a classic omelette with three organic eggs, butter, salt, pepper and olive oil; scrambled eggs with prosciutto cotto and stracciatella; and fried eggs à la carbonara with carbonara sauce. 

There is also pizza bread with scrambled eggs and stracciatella, pizza bread with avocado and shrimp, and a breakfast set with brioche, whipped butter, jam and two eggs.

From 14:15, the main menu takes over, bringing together antipasti, salads, soups, pasta, risotto and pizza. 

Among the starters are arancini with Taleggio and tomato water and caponata with burrata, while the pasta selection includes spaghetti carbonara, spaghetti alle vongole, tagliatelle alla Norma, ravioli with shrimp and mascarpone, and risotto with shrimp or mushrooms.

The pizza selection includes Pera e Blu, with crème fraîche, pear, blue cheese and fior di latte mozzarella, as well as Pizza di Mare, with crème fraîche, fior di latte mozzarella and seafood. 

Farfatella also has its own pastry selection, with baked goods prepared on site. 

The bistro opens at 7:30, closing at 23:00 on Fridays and Saturdays and at 22:00 from Sunday to Thursday.

The space had originally been planned for a different concept by the owners of Culture, but the project was taken over by Farfatella's owners before the previous restaurant opened – an unusual change of hands before an opening.
