50 Best Discovery 2026: Poland

The global 50 Best Discovery guide has just been updated. Serving as an extension of The World's 50 Best Restaurants, it showcases outstanding restaurants and bars from around the world.

This year's update adds one new restaurant in Warsaw and one new bar in Katowice, while several Polish venues have disappeared from the guide.

Poland is now represented by four cities.

In Kraków, the spotlight once again belongs to Bottiglieria 1881 – uncompromising fine dining built around the products of the Małopolska region, with precise, vibrant flavour combinations. It also remains Poland's only two-Michelin-starred restaurant.

Joining it is the outstanding avant-garde cocktail bar Tag, where contemporary cocktail culture meets an experimental approach to flavours and presentation.

Warsaw is represented by three venues in 50 Best Discovery 2026. First comes the uncompromising Dyletanci, known for its exceptional wine list and unwavering focus on outstanding ingredients. The newcomer is Michelin-starred Rozbrat 20, where chef Bartosz Szymczak brings a highly technical yet deeply personal approach to gastronomy.

Opasły Tom has disappeared from the guide, while Dyletanci has finally had its address updated.

Warsaw's only bar in 50 Best Discovery remains El Koktel, which has been part of the guide since 2021. If you still haven't visited this underground temple of mixology, it's well worth a stop.

For the third consecutive year, Gdańsk is represented by Flisak '76 – an endlessly creative and highly artistic cocktail bar with an uncompromisingly inventive approach to mixology. One season the team experiments with Polish wild herbs for a menu called Herbarium; the next, they focus on root vegetables sourced from local farms, creating combinations such as parsley root, cocoa, mezcal, and lime.

The other newcomer is Art in Katowice. Opened in 2024 by Monika Kaźmierczak and Krzysztof Czemera, the bar was conceived as a space where contemporary mixology intersects with art. Alongside its cocktail programme, Art hosts exhibitions by Polish artists, while its interior incorporates recycled materials – including denim collected through a public campaign.

Meanwhile, the town of Nałęczów has disappeared from 50 Best Discovery, following the removal of Water & Wine from the guide.
