Neapolitan pizza, a stylish interior and everything else that made Nonna a favourite at Oboźna – now at a new address on Solec.
Nonna to Open a Second Pizzeria on Solec
One of Warsaw’s best-known Neapolitan pizzerias is finally getting a long-awaited sequel. Next week, a new full-size Nonna will open at Solec 52, right next to the existing takeaway spot. This time, there will be a proper dining room, a more elaborate interior, beer taps and everything else associated with the original.
There is little need to explain why Nonna has become such a fixture in the city. Unlike Pizzaiolo’s more mischievous approach or Mąka i Woda’s more visionary side, Nonna keeps things simple – classic recipes, excellent ingredients and very little unnecessary experimentation.

The main attraction is, of course, the pizza. The dough is light and carefully made, with pronounced char from the wood-fired oven, well-balanced recipes and consistently good ingredients.
The menu occasionally gets seasonal additions, such as asparagus or chanterelle pizzas, but for the most part it stays firmly in classic territory.
Marinara, Margherita, Diavola with spicy salami, Quattro Formaggi and Neapolitana with a mix of anchovies and buffalo mozzarella are among the staples. There are also a few more restrained experiments, such as mortadella with pistachio pesto.

Beyond pizza, the menu keeps things simple: olives, Insalata Mista, burrata, a selection of cured meats and a couple of desserts.
The opening is expected next week.
